First is the matter of fairness. Why should 20% of Californians be treated so generously at the expense of the remaining 80%? If they can achieve these things by organizing then why can't we counteract them by organizing?
Next, the benefit of preserving job opportunities for ourselves, our children and grand children should be obvious.
We also need to stop runaway spending and taxation - directly on our income, through fees and sales taxes and by the embedded cost of over-regulation in everything we use in our daily lives.
Last but not least, UCAPS will offer a number of membership programs now in planning and development stages. These may include a Portable Health Insurance program, a Members-only Job Exchange Program and a Private Sector Pension Program.
